I thought that you always want to auth ;)
You can add an user without a key, then you should be able to connect  
without auth:

xuserset add localhost nobody 4294967295  xcpu-admin
mount -t 9p 127.0.0.1 /mnt/xcpu/1 -o port=6667,access=any
