Hi, this alpha includes fixes for several crash bugs which we have been hunting for a while.
http://max.kellermann.name/projects/xcsoar/ http://max.kellermann.name/download/xcsoar/nightly/6.0_alpha7/ The Twin Altair should work now. I can't test it because my Altair doesn't have the additional data port needed for that. Please test & give feedback! The Android port has lots and lots of improvements, it is nearly usable now (simulator mode only, no GPS support yet). My Android phone has been replaying lots of flights this week. I enabled OpenGL rendering for Android a few days ago. That takes advantage of the GPU, and is quite fast, although much can still be optimized. Unfortunately, I got lots of emails from early adopters who had problems with OpenGL on Android version 2. Problem is I cannot test that, because my phone has Android 1.6. I will try to get my hands on an Android 2 device to fix this. It was suggested that we should allow XCSoar users to donate money, so we developers can afford to buy test hardware. I'm biased: on the one hand, I don't want this project to be associated with money, on the other hand, I don't want to spend my own money only to support other people's problems for free. I havn't made up my mind yet. Max P.S.: I will be in Kamen (Luftsporttag NRW) on sunday, just in case anybody is nearby and interested in real-life XCSoar support or just some chat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
