I am still having problems with loss of GPS connection. Problem first appeared
when I switched to 6.02. Never had problem with 5.2.4 and am using exact same
setup. iPaq 4705 and Garmin 10 GPS. When problem appeared during first flight
with 6.02, switched back to 5.2.4 for 30 minutes and no problem. Switched back
to 6.0.2 and problem reappears.

Was suggested that I use most current version. Installed 6.0.7 and tried it
this morning with same result. This time I set the bluetooth connection to
always choose the Garmin 10 so that if the connection is lost it does not bring
up the bluetooth console window and wait for me to choose the bluetooth device
I want to use. I now however get a fairly quick message on the screen every 5
minutes or so that says "Waiting for GPS connection". I assume this is a system
message to let me know that the current running program (6.0.7) has lost the
bluetooth connection to the GPS. This message disappears in about 5 seconds. I
assume it is reconnecting to the GPS. I also sometimes see the message
"restarting comm ports". This also goes away fairly quickly. As this does not
happen at all with 5.2.4 I can only assume that it is something to do with the
6.0.7 configuration on my iPaq even though the messages do not appear to be
generated by XCSoar but rather by the system.

Anyone have any suggestions of what I can try. I really like some of the new
features of 6 and what to use it but need a stable platform I do not have to
fiddle with during flights.
