If this is of any help, I had a similar issue with an early 6.x beta version With similar issue, I mean a gap in the log (as shown in your appendix)
Never conclusively found the reason, but it seemed to be linked to the locking of my PDA (HTC and WM6.1) after a pre-defined time (unfortunately hardwired in the corporate SW, can not switch off).
