I tested it, it seems to work well now, but I too broke a Colibri
during development (wrong baud rate).

I emailed to the German LX branch, asked them if that (ancient!)
firmware bug would ever get fixed, and if the new LX Nano carries the
same firmware bug.  That question was left unanswered.

The answer from Michael Seischab was: "Just don't send wrong data to
the Colibri".

Given that a slack joint or a wrong baud rate configuration can cause
garbage being sent to the Colibri, there is more than just a faulty
program that can cause a LX logger to break.

A rule that is especially true for LX loggers: use XCSoar at your own
risk!  It works, but it may break in some rare cases.  Avoid buying
loggers with buggy firmware that break so easily; put your money where
your interest is.

(This is not a XCSoar specific problem, this affects all software; I
remember breaking a Colibri with (desktop) SeeYou a few years ago)
