This one's easy to fix, just no one cared enough yet to take a few minutes to actually do it. Background info: on Windows, clipping and text layout is done by the operating system, but on all other platforms, we need to do it manually. We reimplemented everything from scratch that XCSoar needs, but some things are still not so polished, just "good enough" to be usable.
