I recently filled out a ticket #1811: Make Info pages and Info Box
information more meaningful to the user and to enhance readability.

The ticket is currently on the wishlist. The first part concerning naming
AUX pages had already been implemented in 6.1, so far so good. I decided I
should check if I was duplicating any other requests for changes that make
info boxes more readable. I had not investigated the Roadmap menu item
before and I soon found what I was looking for. I found quite a few tickets
that fit the readability bill.

One of the biggest things I have struggled with in XCSoar is making use of
the information displayed in INFO BOXES. The information is there but I find
it cluttered and difficult to interpret in its current format. Some of you
may see a perfect picture whereas I just see a jumble. I find myself having
to commit the INFO Pages to memory in order to be able to hone in on the
information that XCSoar is trying to put at my fingertips.

My proposed solution is to add the ability to create white space and to be
able to alter the width of the info boxes enabling the user to group related
information and provide separation and enhance readability. Ultimately I
would like to be able to configure the info box using any combination of
labels and data and to be able to individually format each label or data.

I am interested to hear what the rest of you think. Below is my idea of
readability.
