Might be a worthwhile feature some time in the future?

a.. Multi-leg flight planning:
a.. We can already tap the screen or search for waypoints and insert or
append them to our flight plan, either pre-flight or when airborne. This
sometimes gives an unintended route though. Instead:
b.. How about inserting waypoints by dragging a track line? ("rubber
banding") This way, the actual track can be made to bend to a new turn point to
either side of an existing track and this is unlikely to give any surprises.
(Might have to pan to and then zoom in to find the desired turn point) Thought
it might be less head in cockpit to do it this way?
Regards, Daryl
