This past Sunday I had my first flight of the season and first actual
flight with XCSoar/Dell Streak.
I had spent many hours before practicing with XCSoar in Sim mode and
Condor. So it all felt
very familiar during the flight.
Flying with XCSoar and the Dell was great. The Streak is a great platform,
you can feel how XCsoar
performs effortlessly. XCSoar was smooth and rock solid the whole 3 hour
flight. The visibility of the
Streak is great as reported by all users so far and the mounting is simple
and unobtrusive.
Great job by the XCSoar team!
Running it on the Android platform with the sensitive capacitive touch
screen, the 5 inch transleflective
display and plentiful compute power is a *huge* step forward and a big
winner.
