Does the 302 have Engine Noise detection? Maybe OLC makes use of this to help determine start of flying. With my LS3a (which has no engine) my Volkslogger log's engine noise trace clearly shows the end of the aerotow. I think it is picking up noise from flying with the u/c down (LS3a tow hook is in the wheel well, you can't raise the gear until after release), or from the tug. Maybe the OLC guys have noticed this and use engine noise as part of their "guess start of soaring flight" algorithm. Obviously XCsoar logs don't have any engine noise data. Has something changed with effect to "no engine noise available" in the XCsoar log files with recent versions?
