I had the same problem with a declared task on 13 May. XCsoar detected the start of the task, but not making the first turnpoint (I had to advance it manually with the menus). It did, however, detect making the second turnpoint and the task finish. I was about the same distance from the 1st turnpoint as the second. I was running the WM5 version 6.3.1 in flight.
