I am still a newbie with xcsoar and freely admit it. Ran into some connections
issues with my newly purchased K6bt(2).
This I guess is their newest version bluetooth without the dip switches and has
jumpers for setting baud rates.
I have attempted to connect this to a CAI302 and Dell Streak5 Android with a
Goddard cable.
Once received, I set this up first to autubaud than to 4800 and than to every
conceivable baud combination; my Dell would pair but not connect. I also tried
with my Samsung (Android) mobil phone with the same results.
Than I emailed the K6 people and after some correspondence they agreed to send
me a replacement unit which I received along with a new cable- same set up.
Once again I tried this combo and experienced the same issues.
I even tried it connecting to a handheld GPS and Ipaq pda without any luck.
Any suggestions out there?
Does anyone has experience with the new (2)??
Many thanks in advance. PeterK

I also am often getting the map list from the reasons Peter described. I
would also prefer a long click instead. Why not making it configurable and keep
the default as is currently. I know you guys are trying to avoid too much
configuration options, but I don't see a problem with that as long as the
defaults are intuitive. Configuring XCSoar is mostly one time task, so it
doesn't matter much if there are more options. In my opinion no one should use
XCSoar without reading the manual and configuring it precisely to your style of
flying, otherwise it is downright dangerous. I am saying that since I see
novice users flying with XCSoar with MC = 0 and no polar degradation without
understanding that their arrival altitude is overly optimistic. I recommend
every XCSoar user will spend at least a day reading the manual, configuring the
device and playing in simulator mode before using it first time. This is true
for all flight computers. As such adding more
configuration options and documenting them in the help section is not a
problem IMHO.

XCSoar 6.4 will let you configure the map item list. In the current
state you can choose whether the distance/bearing/elevation item and
the arrival altitude item should be added to the list or not. If not,
the list dialog will only come up if there are at least two items
below your finger. Basically this will come closer to the way XCSoar
6.2 used to work. This is not yet included in any public version but
the 6.4preview7 release will have it. To edit the settings click
anywhere on the map and on the "Settings" button in the map item list
  dialog.

Well, not problem here as long as the user is willing to spend yet another
day reading the manual. An option is not an option when it comes to get around
a bad solution. It just creates two forks for possible future UI interferences.

  Best,
  Martin

This sound like an excellent solution. Looking forward for 6.4.
