Where does it say on that page that "only" LK8000 is supported? You
are right that no other software applications are mentioned, but that
is probably due to the fact that no other applications supported it
yet. XCSoar 6.4 is not officially released so officially LK8000 is the
only supporting software as of now.

Since the vendor explicitly asked me to add support for his product I
think he will support his customers using XCSoar as well as any other
customers. This is not different to any other company that has asked
us in the past. I will notify the vendor once XCSoar 6.4 is out to
update his website and include XCSoar in the list of supported
software applications.

I know you don't like LK8000 and I know you don't like the protocol
designed by them, but that is no reason to accuse GT of probably not
helping its users if they use XCSoar.
