XCSoar 6.4 is not officially released so officially LK8000 is the only supporting software as of now. Since the vendor explicitly asked me to add support for his product I think he will support his customers using XCSoar as well as any other customers. This is not different to any other company that has asked us in the past. I will notify the vendor once XCSoar 6.4 is out to update his website and include XCSoar in the list of supported software applications. I know you don't like LK8000 and I know you don't like the protocol designed by them, but that is no reason to accuse GT of probably not helping its users if they use XCSoar.
