My understanding is that xcsoar switches to the next input in case of failover.
This is also what I observed when I turn off my 302.
It is also worth emphasizing that the Dell Streak internal GPS is unreliable. I
heard so far of at least 4 Dell Streaks which either looses GPS signal or just
cant get a fix for long time. My Dell Streak wouldnt get a GPS fix inside my
home, while my iphone has no such problem, and it will take significant time to
get a fix outside.
