Hi

I tried to follow Scott's web page instructions for loading and running
6.4 off a USB stick, but I could not get may Altair (running Altair
V1.13 software - is there another, earlier upgrade I need to do first?)
to see/load the new Altair software...so I am running V 6.2.1 in this comp.

I have a number of (quite possibly configuration) problems on my system...

 1. The flap switches are detected by the Vega but despite having "Flap
forces cruise" to ON, the Altair does not switch mode when I move
    the flap into positive settings.

 2. I have the "TC Avg" info box set up on the circling screen - but it
is not showing any sort of reasonable value. Is it possible this is
because I am having to switch manually between cruise/circling
screens and so XCSoar doesn't know when I started to climb...

 3. I don't understand the difference between "V task achieved" and "V
task average". When I flew yesterday I flew with "V task achieved"
and this resulted in speed of 64km/hr being shown on the final leg
when I wound the Macready back to 1.5kt (from 4kt) as the day died
and I had to creep home. I actually achieved 110km/hr. I will fly
today with V task Average instead and see if that makes more sense
    to me!

 4. With the Vega/Altair combo (GPS fed from a FLARM), V TAS does not
seem to work. I had expected it would do so - am I wrong or is this
    a bug?

Any help appreciated (many thanks in advance).
