I think John Wharington had a Vega too, but unfortunately he is currently not developing for XCSoar anymore. Max has an Altair but no Vega as far as I know. Next time you get to the glider you should activate the "Raw Logger" in the Config menu and then try to change the MC a few times. That will record exactly what the Vega sent to the Altair and we might be able to fix it with that data. Look for an .nmea file in the XCSoarData folder after doing this.
