Hi there, I support Ian's idea. A dedicated page would be ideal. You could also attach the property of wind up display to that page. Having all config properties in the profile seems to be MUST.

Maybe an info box with a function for "trail drift on/off" switch would be a "nice to have" feature. Then one could set up an "AUX" page for wave flying with: - Fixed zoom at "circling resolution" of 2.5km or 5km (nice with version 6.6) - Trail drift on/off info box switch. - Wind speed and wind arrow info boxes - Outside Air Temp info box. - Space for Flarm radar gauge. This could be quite useful. When you leave the wave, you just flip back to one of the other pages. We already made the zoom levels dependent on the page, and we could do the same for the circling drift. Unfortunately though the zoom levels are currently not saved to the profile. I imagined that the bearing would be reported in degrees Magnetic rather than True? IIRC a radial from a VOR is reported in ?M: what info have I missed about the XCSoar choice of True bearing? I know that by displaying the "Next waypoint" Infobox I can also display the waypoint name beside this new "Radial ATC" infobox. I guess it would be possible to develop an additional infobox that could combine waypoint name, radial and distance? Further, I imagine it might be possible for a (new) infobox to display name, radial and distance to a user selected "reference point", such as a VOR or significant geographic feature, that is selected independently from a task or "next" waypoint? Such a "reference point" might be retained for a whole flight or series of flights from a particular airfield. All this is starting to sound like an excellent development exercise for a newbie like me given the existing code is close to the new feature ;). I appreciate any thoughts you have before I embark upon such an exercise and/or writing an enhancement ticket.
