Yep, the same issue I keep complaining about. It does not impact only the dot trail, it impacts the same way with any trail option. After few hours you either going to get dots every few km as Turbo described, or long straight lines between 2 dots with other options. The lines can be an average of the lift and sink between thermals. So in some cases the straight lines can be very long and very misleading. See #1931 which was opened over a year ago and was targeted for this release but apparently no one cared or had time to fix it.
