Unfortunately does not Work the Modus spezific Map sizing in Version 6.7 not
in the SIM nor in Flight modus.
Additionaly there seems to be a very short timeout when starting xcsoar
within 3 seconds the app will be closed when I do not touch the flight or
sim button.
I Use a Galaxy Note with actual android system

It's under Config -> System -> Elements and then there are 6 or 7 trail
types to select from.

I have used the "Dots" setting for now, though the darker dots indicating
sink in an otherwise hardly visible trace is is a bit unintuitive. I like
the + and - sign idea Ronald brought up, maybe enhanced by some small ...
for no significant vertical speed, or maybe just a very well contrasting b&w
trail color choice with the vertical speed annotated as numbers at peak
locations.

We are proud to announce the new major version 6.7! We have been
working for five months on this release. There were 1,715 individual
changes by 40 contributors since version 6.6. More than 7,000 people
have installed the pre-releases on Android via Google Play (we don't
know how many people downloaded directly from our web site).

Highlights:

* XCSoar now runs on the Kobo e-book readers
* show "arm advance" button when manual arming is necessary
* improved MAT task support
* support the OLC/DMSt 500km triangle threshold
* "retrospective task" analysis
* improved wind accuracy
* enabling/disabling devices on-the-fly
* driver for Cambridge L-Nav
* connect via TCP to receive NMEA
* IOIO via OpenAccessory (Android 4.x)
* support USB host mode and USB-RS232 adapters on the Nook
* enable fast refresh mode on Nook Simple Touch
* lots of bug fixes

Unfortunately there is an issue with the "dots" trail color, because
it does not work properly once the trail is thinned. In other words if
you revisit an area where you've been a few hours ago you might only
see one dot every other kilometer because the trail details are
missing and the trail renderer isn't accounting for that.

That would apparently be true for colored trails in general, would it? If
the samples are thinned, a colored trail would also loose detail, maybe
looking better when being interpolated, though still no usable information.
