My Dell Streak 5 runs fine with 2.3. Dell's last release was 2.2.2. It
had issues connecting to external NMEA source through IOIO. I guess it
was related to bugs in the USB and OTG drivers. There are pretty
detailed recipe on the web how to install CM7 (which is Android 2.3).
Search for "how to install CM7 on dell streak 5". I'm not aware of
anything newer than 2.3 for a Streak 5. And I don't think you would need
anything newer.

I tried XCS 6.7.7 with Android 4.4.4 (CM11 for i9300) on my Samsung
Galaxy S3. It seems to work, although I haven't used it in flight (and
don't intend to).
