Chris, My Dell Streak 5 runs fine with 2.3. Dell's last release was 2.2.2. It had issues connecting to external NMEA source through IOIO. I guess it was related to bugs in the USB and OTG drivers. There are pretty detailed recipe on the web how to install CM7 (which is Android 2.3). Search for "how to install CM7 on dell streak 5". I'm not aware of anything newer than 2.3 for a Streak 5. And I don't think you would need anything newer.
I tried XCS 6.7.7 with Android 4.4.4 (CM11 for i9300) on my Samsung Galaxy S3. It seems to work, although I haven't used it in flight (and don't intend to). Hope that helps Ronald Am 09.03.2015 um 13:58 schrieb Chris Bryning: > Hi, > > I have a Dell Streak which I want to use XCSOAR on but it is at Android > 2.2 and XCSOAR 6.7 tells me it needs Android 2.3. > > I can get the Dell Streak upgraded to Android 2.3 but I note that the > latest Android is now at 4.2.2.
