After a couple of months of development, new release of xkeyboard-config is out.
Some number of fixes, updates, new layouts (mostly African/Asian), new/updated translations. Huge amount of info from Sun Microsystems is committed - but it would be nice it some dedicated person from the company would have time to maintain it (I would even try to find some time to help).
