same thing was used by kde.
Yes, the standardized icon names will help, but not necessarily with app
icons which can all have their own specific app icon.
Even if/when all DeskTops use the standardized icon names, this isn't
going to guarantee that an icon of that name is going to be installed in
every theme (so if GNOME uses that icon name, it should install a
HiColor icon), and KDE doesn't install an icon with that name since it
doesn't use a generic "text-editor" icon. Which is one reason that we
need a fall back icon theme (HiColor).
