Is it "ZEE-sam" or "zeh-sum" or "zeh-SAM" or "ZEE-SAM"? It's tough to get my tongue around any of those pronunciations. What about "unisami" (pronounced "uni-sammy") for UNIfied Search And Metadata Interface. I would prefer dropping the 'I", but "UniSAM" is some smartcard thing ( http://www.gemplus.com/products/unisam/). Luckily, "unisami" has all of two hits on Google.
Unisami is good I give you that, but the race was over a few minutes ago :-) I already started to propogate the xesam name in a few places. I pronounce it ZEEsam, but feel free to pronounce it how ever you like. I'm not really troubled by the not-100%-clear pronounciation since lots of other succesful foss projects has this problem on a much grander scale. How do you say QT or Gnome? I think I hear this wrongly pronounced 90% of the time :-) Cheers, Mikkel
