Out of interest, have we an agreed procedure regarding closing issues? I remember back around the 1.0 release it was suggested they should be left open until the release build is done, to make verifying them easier. Is that still the case, or given how long it's been between releases should they just be closed once they're done? (of course, they can still be flagged as Fixed even if they're left open, to avoid people wasting their time looking at it again).
