I'll respond since I also brought up this issue about breaking backwards
compatibility a few days ago. Pete's build that broke because of XDoclet is
at:
http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/gump/latest/jakarta-ant-myrmidon.html
XDoclet is now being successfully built by Gump several times per day along
with the HEAD version of its dependencies (click on "xdoclet" near the top
of the above page).
