Its not a problem for me to pull the sources, its just one less variable in
the equation. At the moment, practically every project I'm working with has
required that I pull the latest sources and build it myself as the last
released versions have had bugs that I needed fixed.
Its nice to have some static pieces in the puzzle that are stable or known
entities. As for xjavadoc.jar - I think it should be part of XDoclet's
codebase, and an Ant property could be used to force the use of a newly
built version instead, or it could default to building xjavadoc. I just
like Ant builds to have the capability to use pre-existing JAR files, and be
flexible so that I can point
-Dxjavadoc.jar=<some other location> and such.
