Agree. Btw, we can use Jakarta Common's xml->bean framework for reading dd files and write less code and not pollute the model with xml hooks or messy if/else code for different attributes.
And, I'm waiting for the 1.2 release. Right after that I promise (!) I'll work on xtags stuff. It's just not the good time to start yet another big refacatoring right now. By putting xtags in xdoclet we'll refactor the tag handling stuff, making them thinner and more modular and also support tag validation and Velocity templates. Damn ambitious :-) So, I think Konstantin should free himself from the dd/tagfamily/etc as much as he can so than in the future we'll have less refactoring headaches when xtags is fully implemented the way I described it. Btw, I'm free to help you Aslak as much as I can.
