Too late for beta 1? Maybe. There were a couple I was going to try and put back in, but I have to mess around moving the tags so I don't want to be doing it for too many. Plus there's the fact that anything else that's included hasn't had as much time to be tested.
If it's only a trivial/minor change, go ahead and commit it. For anything bigger, if you can hold of committing a bit longer I'll be having another crack at building the release files tomorrow night (anyone that didn't vote yet on the issues arising from the last lot, you've got till then to have your say). The stuff's tagged already, so new commits shouldn't matter, but it's easier if you can wait in case it conflicts with anything I have to change to sort the release files out...
