FWIW Together would appear to be moving away from the "Code is the
Model" approach big time and embracing MDA (at least from what I have
read recently)

It will be a big thing for them, but they appear to be publicly
supporting Eclipse and the very comprehensive MDA support that it now
has with the EMF toolkit.

In IBMs own words, EMF is all about adding support for MDA

Meta-data in it own model with code generation to target technologically
specific "runtimes" will be a big trend IMO, but certainly won't be
everybody's cup of Chai.

I know what you are talking about. To tell you the truth I *hate* the
way TogetherJ works. Normally I just don't want the round trip feature
of TogetherJ, I don't like it. I just want a semi-high level diagram.
TogetherJ for me is a sketch, and thank God my boss doesn't want me to
draw diagrams for documentation. But, many ppl do love this feature,
including you for sure.

Whatever you draw in the diagram anyway turns into something executable,
right? We store the meta data in that executable class.
