I have never seen a documented 'type' for MDB for the ejb.bean type. When I try to use XDoclet 1.2.2 it generates home and remote interfaces, which then don't compile. I tried removing the 'type' attribute, and this made no difference in 1.2.2, it still failed. In 1.2.1 it also failed.
