Samuel Meder commented on XDT-1196:
-----------------------------------

I'm running into exactly the same issue. Has there been any movement on this?
If not, are you able to submit attach a patch with the additions you developed?
I could probably spend some time integrating this into the core xdoclet
codebase and come up with a "integrated" patch.

> It would be nice if there were some way to configure XDoclet's Hibernate
> module to create separate .hbm.xml files for subclasses, as is now permitted
> by Hibernate.
> Right now, if you have @hibernate.class in A.java and @hibernate.subclass in
> B.java, you get a single A.hbm.xml file with a nested <subclass> element
> inside A's <class> element.
> Instead, I'd like to get a separate hbm.xml file for B (<hibernate-mapping>
> <subclass name="B" extends="A" > ...)
> My company has developed our own *.xdt templates to do exactly that, along
> with some custom subtasks to point at them, to simplify build.xml. We'd like
> to see this implemented inside the standrad solution, though, and would like
> to get feedback on how to proceed.
