maven plugin jars missing from ibiblio / autoinstall doesn't work

The maven plugin is designed to be easy to install, however the current version
v1.2.3 is not
available on ibiblio.
Only after a lot of Googling do you learn that the maven v1.2.3 plugin is part
of xdoclet-lib, and once installed, there
are no instructions on how to set the dependencies up correctly.
The effort behind installing the maven xdoclet plugin was to showcase maven to
a client and show how it makes installation
simpler, but this process has been the exact opposite.
