I finally found the cause...  ( on my side this time )

a long ago I removed xerxes dependencies from test
plugin due to problems with xml parsing ( unability to
run tests in process , only forked which was too slow
for me) 

but now I upgraded my PC ( big fat amd & 2 gig of RAM
:) )  and speed in no longer THE issue. 

I restored old dependencies and everything started to
work again.

OK, now we know that there is no build problem,
