I thought I could help you out adding Servlet 2.5 /JSP 2.1 support to the
Xdoclet2 web plugin.
This is useful for folks staying up-to-date with Java EE 5.
Because Servlet 2.5 does not support annotations for servlets, tags, and
filters,
Maven2/Xdoclet2 should be enabled to create Servlet 2.5 WARs.
Attached you find a patch to apply in the 'xdoclet-plugins/plugin-web'
directory.
The patch is against CVS of 12-Aug-2006. Junit tests and pom.xml are included.
Additionally, a 'testapp-web-javaee' web application is included. I think it
is preferrable to
separate the tests for Servlet 2.5 /JSP 2.1 from the 'testapp-web' module.
A Maven2 pom.xml will generate a Servlet 2.5 war.
