I found the following question/answer on JGuru
explaining a bug with the merge directory location in
XDoclet 1.1.2. How do I work around this bug if I
didn't use <packagesubstitution> ?

Thanks,
Leon

haven't figured out how to have XDoclet to merge a
ejb-ejbrefs-MyBean.xml file.

Luis, first you need to let xdoclet know where merge
files are placed. That's what mergedir attribute does.
Place your marge files there. Specifically you should
place ejb-ejbrefs-MyBean.xml *along with MyBean's
package directory structure under that mergedir
folder. For example:
c:/mymergedir/com/foo/ejb-ejbrefs-MyBean.xml. IIRC
there's a bug in v1.1.2 that makes you put the file in
com/foo/interfaces folder (the folder defined in
global <packagesubstitution/> of <ejbdoclet/>). It's
fixed in cvs.
