(http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net/merge.html) might just as well read "We can't be bothered to document things fully." However, it isn't (or shouldn't be) necessary to examine the template files anyway - there's a section in the stuff that generates the docs (in antdoc-xdoc.xdt) that includes a list of the merge files (based on @xdoclet.merge-file class-level tags in the subtasks), so they should already be documented.
