Hello,

I just starting trying to use XDoclet. I know that what I want to do is a little far from its roots, but I think it is do-able, I'm just hung up on one issue.

I would like to use the XDoclet (generic) task to process some java source code, not to generate entirely new classes, but to add a few methods to the existing class definitions based on custom xtags. I've got to the point where I can generate the methods ok, but the output file does not contain the rest of the class definition. I guess this could be done by creating a template that used the XDtClass properties to reconstruct the class piece-by-piece, but what I was wondering is if anyone know of a better way to do this.

Thanks,
