The misspelled tags thing is tricky, since there could potentially be other custom tags in the javadocs that are nothing to do with XDoclet. How do we know if it's a misspelled tag or someone else's? Missing required tags, however, ought to be reported. Check if there's an open issue already, and raise one if not (preferably attaching an example that does it). Also, have you tried XDocletGUI? That makes it less likely you'll get a misspelled tag, since it inserts them for you.
