Are you 100% sure it is? I think you've goofed up.

To verify that evrything is really on the classpath, echo out the classpath
like this:

<path id="the.class.path.ref">
  <!-- this is where you set up the classpath for ejbdoclet -->
</path>

<property name="cp" refid="the.class.path.ref"/>
<echo>CLASSPATH:${cp}</echo>

<taskdef name="xdoclet.modules.ejb.EjbDocletTask"
classpathref="the.class.path.ref"/>

The jar file in question is ejb.jar (from sun), weblogic.jar, jboss-j2ee.jar
(or something like that).

The fact that you've been struggling for a long time doesn't imply this is a
bug.

I'm not sure this is a good idea. Try to put them in a separate library and
set up your classpath properly in the Ant script as described above.

Passing -verbose to ant is also a good idea.
