I cannot speak for anyone else, but I defintely look in the source for the possible tags, not in the docs. Then I will look at the DTDs or something similar to see possible values.

Found a few useful ones not documented too (webwork.command, hibernate.query, etc)

Good luck.

Subject: [Xdoclet-user] Documentation Feedback

Hello all,

(1) Does anyone know when the documentation will be updated ?  It would be extremely useful if it was updated.

I have noticed the following:

(i) When looking through source files that other people have put up on the web, I often see attributes included in the XDoclet tags that are not in the "xdoclet-bin-1.2b2" documentation.

(ii) In the XDoclet documentation,  the possible values for attributes are rarely listed.  The only method I have found of finding the possible values is looking at the samples included with XDoclet, looking at XPetstore and looking through the XDoclet User group archives.

(iii) Much time is spent searching through the few resources there are on XDoclet, when the whole process would be made much easier if the XDoclet documentation was beefed out a bit and kept up to date.  I would happily pay for good documentation if anyone has any in electronic form.

(2) Does XDoclet have any plans on releasing paid for documentation ?

I found the JBoss documentation reasonably priced and useful - It would be great if there was similar documentation for XDoclet.

(3) Do most people look through the source files of XDoclet to understand how to use it properly ?

Thankyou

John Dickerson
