Hi again,
Good news and bad news :). Good ones are that I had to fiddle a bit with
XPetstore but I managed to get it working under Orion2.0.2 and Oracle 8. I'll
send some feedback to them so the instructions can be improved, I can do it
myself or provide them with the info, but it basically runs fine.
The problem is that they rely in a certain column naming schema in order for
Orion to be able to guess the FK names. I explain, if the table name is
T_CATEGORY, then the foreign key column in T_PRODUCT referencing that table has
to be named "category". That's why they don't have to add orion-specific xdoclet
tags to their sources, as they let Orion guess those names instead of providing
them. Well, At least, now that I can see the final orion-ejb-jar.xml file that
orion uses, after guessing those names, I can try to generate my correct
orion-ejb-jar.xml even though I might need to hack with the xdoclet
orion-module. I might as well try to get xpetstore to run with Resin-EE, it
would be nice to have a complete example for everybody to learn :).
Thanks again Brian,
D.

No problem,
Keep me informed if you can. I tried to run it on orion and it deployed
No problem, but I had a problem with the database. I think this is
because
I was using mysql and I'm not sure if my mysql.xml file was valid.
If you have any problems setting it up on orion, give me a shout.
There are instructions to follow off the website

Hi Brian,
I probably made some kind of mistake as now I'm checking again ad I
can't find the relationship I saw, which was bean managed. I must have
looked at an old file or I looked at a generated CMP file instead of the
original EJB. Whatever. Thanks for letting me know.
I'll see if I can get some useful info from there regarding Orion, but
at first sight, I can see no new information. I wonder how Orion is
supposed to guess the foreign key columns if there are no xdoclet tags
to provide that info. Weblogic and Jboss have those tags, but I could
see no Orion tags. I'll have to try to run it to see if it really works
with Orion, and if it does, how :).
Thank you,
D.
