"1.2b4" wasn't pulled; there's never really been one. The first build of beta 3 was pulled, and redone. Unfortunately, the version no. got rolled in the build script in the meantime. But essentially it is still beta 3, despite what the jars may be named. And there's not going to be a beta 4, the next release will be 1.2.
