Anyone,
I was wondering if is possible to generate unique ids for the xml
elements in the ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi file. The problem we've been coming
across is when xdoclet generates ids starting at "1" for each jar file,
Websphere fails to deploy them because other beans are generated with the
same id. When Websphere generates the xmi file, it has a 13 digit number
for the unique id so it guarantees every bean is distinct.
For example:
XDoclet generated xmi file:
<ejbbnd:EJBJarBinding xmi:version="2.0"
xmlns:xmi="http://www.omg.org/XMI" xmlns:ejbbnd="ejbbnd.xmi"
xmlns:ejb="ejb.xmi" xmlns:commonbnd="commonbnd.xmi"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmi:id="ejb-jar_ID_Bnd">
<ejbJar href="META-INF/ejb-jar.xml#ejb-jar_1"/>
<ejbBindings xmi:id="Session_bnd_1"
jndiName="system/GeographicalLocationAPI">
<enterpriseBean xmi:type="ejb:Session"
href="META-INF/ejb-jar.xml#Session_system_GeographicalLocationAPI" />
</ejbBindings>
The Websphere generated xmi file for the same bean
<ejbbnd:EJBJarBinding xmi:version="2.0"
xmlns:xmi="http://www.omg.org/XMI"
xmlns:ejbbnd="ejbbnd.xmi"
xmlns:ejb="ejb.xmi"
xmi:id="EJBJarBinding_1064339390668">
<ejbJar href="META-INF/ejb-jar.xml#EJBJar_1064339390668"/>
<ejbBindings xmi:id="EnterpriseBeanBinding_1064339391075"
jndiName="system/GeographicalLocationAPI">
<enterpriseBean xmi:type="ejb:Session"
href="META-INF/ejb-jar.xml#Session_1064339391075"/>
</ejbBindings>
