Kevin, I'm the author of "XDoclet in Action" and also the author of the portlet module for XDoclet, so perhaps I can shed some light on this...
The fact is that the portlet module has been in CVS for only a few weeks and there has not yet been an XDoclet build made that includes this new module (the last build was the beta 3 build made back in June). If you were to retrieve the latest code from CVS and build it yourself, you'd have the portlet module as well as the documentation. But as of right now, there is no binary download that includes this module. Oh...as I re-read your e-mail I see that you have built the latest stuff from CVS, but that you haven't got the docs. My only guess is that you've not performed the document build. That part of the build is a Maven build, so the easiest way to kick it off is with: % maven site:generate Of course, you'll need to have Maven installed. If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to help you figure it out. I'm hopeful that XDoclet 1.2 final or (at least) a new beta build is available in the very near future.
