i was finally able to get this to work. i never did get debugging for xdoclet figured out... i ended up removing the entity and mdb sections in the templates which seemed to throw off the class/ejb being worked on. so, now i have a xdoclet-ejb-xxx.jar that generates one xml descriptor file per ejb using the task below. this gives the beans portability (though they're all sls ejbs so if we decide to do clustering, it would probably be all or nothing). at any rate, if anyone is interested in the xdt and minor class changes i made i can provide them. i'll say that being able to generate all the weblogic descriptor files was very very easy, since the descriptor and its coresponding xdt is a little more basic.
