Ok, maybe a better way to have worded this question was, "Is there any way 
XDoclet can help me determine what I'd have to package like the 
ejbgen:ejb-client-jar  tag does?"

This is not xdoclet job to do this.  XDOclet generates
only sources / DDs - then you can use ant/maven to
package your stuff.
