There have been several discussions in the past about making xjavadoc java 
1.5 compatible but no one has stepped up to the plate until now.

I would certainly like to use this 1.5 support for my own projects, so 
I'll test this out in the near future.

If you would like for this support to be added to xdoclet/xjavadoc, I 
would suggest that you open up a trouble ticket on the xjavadoc JIRA:

Just to let you know, I'm not a committer/developer on xdoclet. Just a 
satisfied user.
