Hi Vladimir,
Why does VM with Windows guest sees xeentools but of VM with Linux guest
not?
I have a few oracle Linux running on Xenserver 6.2 as PV, and the VMs
are shown as "optimized" in XenCenter. So I guess you have something
wrong with your setup.
Could you please check that you have the process xe-daemon running?
[root@srvora1 ~]# ps -edf | grep xe-daemon
root 961 1 0 Jan24 ? 00:02:07 /bin/bash
/usr/sbin/xe-daemon -p /var/run/xe-daemon.pid
Could you also check that you have the xen modules loaded?
[root@srvora1 ~]# lsmod |grep xen
xenfs 5705 1
xen_netfront 19033 0
xen_blkfront 15495 3
Could you check if you are running PV or HVM?
[root@srvxcp06 ~]# xe vm-param-get
uuid=42c84b1f-7283-0f29-bcb3-c706d0097b3e param-name=PV-bootloader
pygrub
Best wishes,
Denis
