The P2V stuff in xapi was fairly old and unmaintained (it only supported ancient distros) so we thought we'd GC it and see who noticed :-) If someone wants to work on it then we could stick the code in another repo... however I think the preferred approach is something like machine -> OVF -> xapi rather than direct.
