Verified I have the same issue. Without setting the version to 5.6 or assuming
6.0 none of the features in XenCenter are available. This includes
snapshotting, ad integration, dr, ha, etc.

Normally this is fixed by using the xapi_version_override file and applying the
free xenserver license. I have yet to get that to work on 1.5 but I noticed
that the license server now says 1.4.90 and doesn't expire now.

Subject: [Xen-API] XCP 1.5 BETA BUG

Hi,

I'm not sure if you're aiming to have XCP 1.5 hosts managed with the XenCenter
client. If you are, then I've found a bug.

Environment info:

Physical Host: XCP 1.5 beta (build 53341c)
XenCenter Version: 6.0 (build 50489)

Problem:

When I click the performance tab for the XCP 1.5 beta host, I get the following
error message in a pop up box.

Assertion Failed: Abort=Quit, Retry=Debug, Ignore=Continue

At ArchiveMaintainer.GetHost(IXenObject xmo)
At ArchiveMaintainer.Update()
At ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback
callback, Object state)
At ThreadHelper.ThreadStart()

If you hit abort, XenCenter closes. If you hit Ignore, XenCenter will hang.

Thanks!

Don
